In the speech given by Elizabeth Joseph focuses on
the benefits of the polygamous relationship as a woman. Joseph claims being in
a monogamous relationship does not give the opportunity for her to be an
independent woman and pursue her career knowing that her children and husband
are not neglected. With polygamy, a woman can marry the best man she can find,
no matter if he already has other wives, because the husband will be more
experienced. Joseph concludes her speech with an overall idea of polygamy,
which is an “empowering lifestyle” that allows a woman to find personal and
career fulfillment, and is thus the “ultimate feminist lifestyle.”
