                                                Radical change in Lifestyle

I was raised in a family where I would get anything I asked for. I always wondered what it would feel like to get out of routine and experience new things and expand my knowledge in other ways like traveling. Searching for things in life that will make me appreciate what I have and understand the beauty of life. Society is based on working hard to get a job and to get as much money as you can where the true beauty is found around us and not many notice it. I want to make a radical change in my lifestyle and begin to boldly do things which I may previously never have thought of doing, or been too unsure to attempt. So many people live within unhappy circumstances and yet will not take the initiative to change their situation because they are conditioned to a life of security, conformity, and conservation. In reality nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a person than a secure future. The most important thing in a living spirit is the passion for adventure. The joy of life comes from what we learn with the new experiences, and there is “no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.” If you want to get more out of life, you must lose your monotonous security and adopt a new style of life that maybe will appear to be crazy, but once you become established to such a life you will see its full meaning and its incredible beauty even if you have nothing. When I grow older, hopefully I would have the chance to experience something like this. Something I will remember for the rest of my life and will bring meaning to it. I also hope I can share a story or an experience with others because happiness is only real when shared.

  1. I'm curious about what you'd like to do if you made a shift in your life. What things have you not done that you feel you must do?
