If money was not an issue
I would choose to still get an education, to still learn how to do things and
understand new concepts. I would get the best education possible and learn from
the most knowledgeable teachers. I would
study abroad in different parts of the world, from Africa, to Europe, across
Asia, and down through India, just taking my time to graduate from
college. I would hope to make friends in
different countries, learn to speak in their languages, and come to love their
families as my own.
My
next move, five years later, would be to join the Peace Corps. My new found wide
range of knowledge would aid me helping those less fortunate. My goals would be
to have an impact on people’s lives and to make changes for the better. During
my time I would hope to learn about the people who would be surrounding me. I would
want to interview them, document the stories they would have to tell, and maybe
even ask what they would do if money was not an issue.
Ten
years after that, I hope to have fallen in love and begin to settle down somewhere
fitting for my personality. I would
return to college to finalize my teaching degree in art education. Eventually,
once I have all my certifications, I would apply for a teaching job at a local high
school and share everything I could about the world with my students, as well
as encourage them to go explore the world themselves.
