On the beginning of this year, I had
no idea what I was going to do in my life. That idea were you just don’t know
what your future is going to be, that idea was running in my mind. I always
knew that in my life I would work in music, I just did not know in what part of
music industry I would work in. This idea was going through my head until a
specific event changed my perception, Ultra Music Festival 2013.
I
got to know about Ultra about half a year ago, when I started to follow my
favorite DJ called Hardwell. I listened to his song “Spaceman” and I knew that
electronic music was going to be my favorite genre. I always commented to my
friends about Ultra, no one knew about it. Later the same year, people started
to comment about Ultra; I was really mad because I was talking about it all
year, and the moment one guy bought a ticket everyone wanted to go. I still had
the feeling that I was not going to go to Ultra, it made me feel so sad. But
this mood changed later on.
On
March I was in Miami in vacation with my family, I noticed that the week one of
the Ultra Music festival was just the last week end I was staying in Miami. I
said to my parents about Ultra being that week end, they did not care that
much. It was later that day when my parents told me that I was going to go to
Ultra with my brother as a present for my birthday. I felt so happy that I just
wanted to faint of the excitement.
I
thought that going to Ultra was going to be just another concert, were you just
go, have fun, and go to your regular life. That was not what Ultra did to me
that week end, it changed my ideas in what I wanted to do in my life. So I went
to Ultra and I got to see my favorite DJ’s, Hardwell and Deadmau5, and in that
moment I just had a blasting experience. Later that night after Ultra ended,
when I was heading home, I still had those memories of the concerts. A new
experience had been plastered in my mind. I just felt that it was not just me
who just had an amazing experience, there were thousands of people who got to
experience something new. At that moment I knew that I wanted to be the guy who
brings new memories and experiences to people around the world.
After
Ultra I felt like I knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to go into the business
of music in live concerts and shows. I want to be a production manager. I want
to be part of a team that is in charge of giving the same experience I had to
others, or even new experiences no one has ever had in their lives. Thanks to a
single memorable moment in my life I now know what I want to dedicate my life
in the future.
