Morales: What defines my generation?

  With every generation of people, there's something that always defines them. Something that sets them apart

 

from previous generations. Some feel that our generation is nothing special, just a bunch of spoiled brats with no

 

direction. We are often told that we are selfish and the reason the country is declining. However, we are more

 

than that; we are more than what older generations perceive us to be. In this ever changing world, we have

 

proven to be ourselves to be innovators. Technology is changing everyday and we as a generation have kept up

 

with this ever growing demand. We see the need for new technology and we make it happen. We’re constantly

 

developing new concepts for everyday problems.

   Our generation relies so heavily on social media but we have managed to use it for good purposes. We have r

realized that through the use of social media we can expand our audience to an international level. Entire

revolutions have been sparked by social media. We use this platform to really get our ideas and it allows us to

come together, even if we don’t live close to each other. This generation has proven to be durable, seeing as new

technology also brings new problems. For example, with the heavy use of the internet, cyber bullying has become

a major problem. Instead of letting it go undetected, this generation has taken a stance against cyber bullying. We

face these problems head on and we also think of ways to make sure we can avoid these said problems. Our
