In this class I would like to strengthen the way I can elaborate on details, I find that the reason my essays are so short is because I don’t really go into enough detail, I would also like to know how to affectively getting my points across, and lastly I want to be able to know which type of essay is appropriate for what ever style of writing I'm doing. I want to be able to free write long paragraphs without stopping, and to develop an essay with good grammar and sentence structure, and I also want to know how to cite my sources properly because I struggled with that in the past.
I am good at brainstorming ideas to support my thesis and I can write a good research paper. I like to learn new ways to effectively communicate through writing, and I like writing about current events or relevant topics.
I hope this class can also help me develop better critical thinking skills, so that when I'm reading I know what I’m reading and I’m more likely to remember what I read.I have trouble with sentence structure, knowing when to use a comma along with other punctuations. My hope is that by the end of this semester I will have become a better writer.
